 Really great little table!
I read all the reviews and decided to get this table anyway, despite the 'flimsy' claims. I'll admit, you shouldn't be standing on it, and it IS plastic after all, but its a great table for general purposes. I work from home as a writer and editor and I spend all day on my couch with my laptop, usually with the TV on. Until I got this table, my legs were burning from the laptop heat, my back was hurting from hunching over it all day and my neck was killing me. Granted, the table's not huge, but I can fit my laptop and a notebook on it, my phone and glasses and I can sit up straight. It doesn't feel like the sturdiest table EVER, but its not exactly made of oak. For what its make of (light plastic and metal), its great.

Works good for my 82yo dad, better than his standard tv tray. Dont lean on it a lot though. Doesnt break but not designed for that and cant handle a lot of it without some deformation.
I had the original many years ago
I had bought the original and much larger table mate many years ago and loved it. I bought this one for my father who uses it while in his wheelchair. It's perfect for anyone in a wheelchair, as it doesn't tip over easliy and can be folded out of sight when ever you need to hide it. The other much larger tables made for using with wheelchairs and beds are just too big and get in the way when not in use.
