 Better than the others
Sturdy pull-up bar. Pull-ups are an essential back and bicep exercise. I do super sets with this and the [[ASIN:B000ICHPIK Ultimate Body Press - Dip Machine / Dip Bars]] which works my chest and triceps. These two exercises represent an extremely intense and thorough upper body workout!
 Great Stuff
I haven't read any of the other reviews, so I'm not sure what everyone else thinks of it.
My simple review is that this thing works. It's not really that hard to devise a good chin-up/pull-up bar but from what I've seen at my friends' houses, not a lot of people get it right.
However, this one works. I believe I got it around christmas time '06 and it's worked wonderfully ever since. It's right in the doorframe by my bedroom and it's installed without the screw things. I weigh anywhere from 150 to 170 pounds throughout the year (I'm a senior that does wrestling, track, and crew, so my weight really does fluctuate that much) and I've never felt it slip.
The black foam pads are great too. They're still pretty much intact.
I really can't think of anything else to say, except that you can't find a better chin-up/pull-up bar, so buy this.
Great Gift For the Kids!
I brought 2 of these for each of my nieces. They love it! It's a great way to keep them busy and active throughout the day. Also, it safely fits into just about any doorway. Well worth it!
