This version features a special warming chamber for toppings and snacks, and comes with a whole host of goodies, such as mixes for yellow cake, sugar cookies, and chocolate-flavored frosting. This is such a cool toy for little girls who are into baking.
Very simple and easy to use.
 Coolest gift ever!
My confession: I am a thirty year old woman whose mother, in a fit of feminist qualms, decided her young daughter would not be subjected to kitchen fantasy toys. And oh, how I still pine for an EZ bake. My friend Nancy had one and I drooled over it. And she never did let me cook anything in it. Here's my argument in favor of EZ Bake--kids these days have terrific options and can be pretty much anything they set their minds to. I tend to think of cooking as a really self-sufficient activity and great prep for the future. Go for it! I'm quite positive that you'll have as much fun as they do.
Actual product: a bit bulky and plastic, and some of it looks flimsy, but not a problem since it's a toy. By the time it's broken they will have moved on to little cooking projects in a real oven. And as another reviewer pointed out, there are refill packs offered at a variety of stores.
