Rather than worrying about forming an increasingly complex, unbroken line of metallic dust with squeaky knobs for navigation, this sketcher is an easy schoolmate with lights, sounds, and flash cards--all designed as a 15-inch school bus. There are buttons on one side of the bus for drawing, quizzing, problem-solving, and repetition activities. There are also five, two-sided, interactive learning cards, stowed in a side compartment, used as visual aids. Logistically, a large, attached stylus with a magnetic tip allows small hands to draw big letters and words; a sliding eraser makes it easy to start over; and there are only a few loose pieces, so it's a good travel pick.  Good toy
My son loves school busses, so I thought he would love this.
It is good quality, but he isn't interested in the cards that come along with it, he just wants to draw, and there isn't any place for the pen on this one.

Use it with your child
My daughter has enjoyed the Doodle Pro Learning Bus for several years and I enjoy using it with her.
I agree with other reviewers that it would be better if it did not congratulate the child regardless of whether they wrote the correct letter, number, or shape. However, since the child is drawing/writing free hand, it is not surprising that the toy has no algorithm built in to check for the correct letter or number. I believe image recognition is still considered a moderate to hard problem to solve with high accuracy. That is why you should interact with your child as they use this toy.
A feature I am grateful for is that there are two volume levels. The loudest is too loud, while the lower setting is okay.
