 I want my Foreman back!
I think the concept of this item is excellent, but the quality is below what I would have expected with the Cuisinart name for the following reasons:
1) The temperatures and settings wiped off of the knobs within a couple of cleanings. total guesswork from here on in!
2) The grill plates heat unevenly. The outside edges are much hotter than the center of the grill. We purchased this to replace a Foreman grill that wore out, planning to use the "Four Functions" for many foods. While it is acceptable for sandwiches and quesadillas, it is totally useless for many other foods. Bacon has black ends and raw middles on the same slice!
3) While the plates are dishwasher-safe, they do not come clean in the dishwasher no matter what soap you use. The grill plates I expect to be hard to clean, but the griddle too? No thanks. The angles are too sharp, and the "nonstick coating" is below par.
I really want a new George Foreman with the waffle plates!
